Son of Henry Hull Peterson and Emma Sophia Hammond, husband of Julia Agnes Sweezey and father of Sarah Belle (married Shepherd Dyckes, married John Lessey, married Vanderbilt Raymond, married Frank Murgatroyd), Elbert C., Eunice Frieda (married George Michael Stoll, married William H. Bird), William H., and Frederick G. Peterson.

Husband of Eva Maude Smith and father of Dorothy M. Peterson.

Obituary - Clarence Peterson, 85, of 148 Bianca Court, Patchogue, died Saturday at the Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson after an illness.

A retired bayman, Mr. Peterson was born in Patchogue and had lived here most of his life.

He is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Frank Murgatroyd, of Patchogue and Mrs. Eunice Stoll, of Wyoming; a son, Albert Peterson of Patchogue; a sister, Mrs. James Barker of Patchogue and two brothers, George of South Carolina and Herbert of New Canaan, Conn.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Pettit Funeral Home with the Rev. Stanley Dixon of the Church of the Nazarene officiating, and interment was in Waverly Cemetery.
