Vivian Harkins, 89, of Taylor passed away Friday, January 30, 2015.

Visitaiton will be 12:00 – 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Providence Funeral Home.

Celebration of Life Service will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at Providence Funeral Home. Burial will follow at the Taylor City Cemetery.

Vivian Harkins was born in Sandoval, TX on February 25th, 1925 to John W. Miller and Ella Striech. On March 30th, 1946 she married the love of her life James Harkins. Together they had one daughter Betty Harkins (Stacy).
Vivian was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. She was a devoted housewife who loved her family and friends. Her beautiful voice and cheerful attitude were known to many. People would call just to hear her voice to make their day more pleasant. Talking on the phone to her family and many friends was one of her most favorite things to do. She loved listening to country music and she never met a stranger. She will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, John and Ella Miller, her husband, James Harkins, daughter, Betty Stacy, and her brothers and sisters.
She is survived by her Grandchildren, Randa (Jose) Romero, Lori (Brian) Mladenka, Keith (Punkin) Cockrill. Great-Grandchildren, Caleb & Hailey Mladenka, Hunter & Michael Shane Cockrill, Samantha Hamilton, two sister-in-laws, Billie Jean and Polly Miller and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Mark Miller, Mike Miller, Tim Miller, Hunter Cockrill, Michael Shane Cockrill and Angel Cazares.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Taylor, TX.
