William Fuhs Dies Tuesday
William Fuhs, age 82, died Tuesday morning, May 30, at the Veterans Hospital in Iowa City. He had entered the hospital May 22.
He was born May 20, 1890 near Webster, the son of Peter and Mary Young Fuhs. During his lifetime, he had been employed on farms in Keokuk county. He was a veteran of World War I, having served in the U. S. Army. He was married to Amy Irene Thompson and she preceded him in death April 30, 1945. In 1954 he was married to Pearl Saner Paulson and she survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Mrs. Bill (Marlene) Jacobs of South English; three step~daughters, Mrs. Don McAdams of Delta, Mrs. Darlene Paine of Wisconsin and Mrs. Romona Gronback of Irvington; four step~sons, Gordon Knutson of Des Moines, Neil Paulson and Paul Paulson, both of Sigourney; and two sisters, Mrs. Bill Copron and Mrs. Roy Butcher of Oskaloosa. In addition to his wife, Amy, he was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Neilda and a son, William James.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, June 1, at 2 p.m. at the Reynolds Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Francis E. Lollich officiating. Mrs. Gene Butler will be organist. Interment will be in the Pennington Cemetery. Casket bearers will be: Lloyd Crow, Ergo Iosbaker, Earl Schumacher, Jess W. Seip, Ray Snakenberg and John Wilkenberg.
