Born Elna Wilhelmina Mortensen in Aalborg, Denmark to mother Caroline Marie Mortensen. She immigrated to the USA at age 5 arriving in New York on 2 Jun 1899. Her family first lived in Racine, WI before moving to Euclid (Nottingham), OH. She married George Rogers in Cleveland 1 Jun 1913. The couple lived in Cleveland & operated a butcher shop/grocery store on Lorain Ave. until 1968.
