Fred A. Bible, 86, of Concord Road, Mohawk, died Friday evening at Laughlin Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Bible was a retired farmer and retired from American Enka.
He was a member of Concord Baptist Church, where he served as deacon for more than 50 years.


Mr. Bible was the widower of Imogene Styke Bible, his wife of 63 years.


Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law: Diane and William G. Kennary of Johnson City and Nancy and Randy Hall of Morristown; a son and daughter-in-law: Jerry and Pearl Bible of Newport; and a "beloved" granddaughter: Lauren Hall of Morristown.


The family received friends from 12:30-2 p.m. Sunday at Kiser Funeral Home and from 4:30-6 p.m. Sunday at Concord Baptist Church.


The funeral service followed visitation at 6 o'clock Sunday evening at the church. The Rev. Kenny Haun and the Rev. Larry Jones officiated.


Interment followed in Hamblen Memory Gardens.


Pallbearers were John Styke, Joe Styke, Doyle Cobble, Jimmy Davis, Larry Burger, Mark Douthat, and Rick Lindsey.
