Pascal Grant Dockrey, 82, of Shawnee died peacefully at the home January 28th, 2015

He was born July 9th, 1932 in Shawnee, to P.G. “Dute” Dockrey and Myra Madge Dockrey. He graduated for Shawnee High School in the Class of 1950. He then attended Oklahoma A&M. He then went to work in the abstract business before going to work for the state on the Interstate Highway System. After retirement he went back to the abstract business and Enerfin Pipeline. He also farmed and ranched his whole life.

Grant married the love of his life, Letha Jo Smith, on May 13, 1956. They have enjoyed 58 years of marriage together.

Grant loved his family and friends more than anything. He enjoyed spending time hunting, dancing, vacationing, farming, going to his grandchildren’s activities, and Sunday dinners with the family.

He is preceded in death by his father P.G. “Dute” Dockrey, Mother Myra Madge Dockrey, Brother Gary Bruce Dockrey, Son Zackery Grant Dockrey, and Grandson Tanner Joe Dockrey.

Those left to cherish his memories are his wife Letha Jo Dockrey and their four sons. Son, Dace Dockrey and wife Sharon. Grandson, Shane Dockrey and wife Mandy and two great grandchildren Avery Jo and Dace Zane Dockrey. Son, Jack Dockrey and his wife Connie. Grandchildren Clayton Dockrey, Brady Dockrey, and Trevor Dockrey. Son Scott Dockrey and grandson Justin Dockrey. Son, Luke Dockrey and wife Angela. Grandchildren, Whitney Dockrey, Danielle Dockrey, DaLacy Dockrey, and Rachel Myra Dockrey. Brother, Larry Dockrey and his wife Glenda along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to give a special thanks to Heartland Hospice, especially those caregivers who gave so much love and care over the last few months.

Services will be Monday February 2nd at 2:00 p.m. at the Walker Funeral Chapel. – Darryl Witten officiating with burial to follow in Centerville Cemetery, west of Shawnee.
