Paul N. McAlister, 82, of Cosby, went to be with his Lord on December 5, 2001 at his residence. He was a World War II veteran, having served in the U.S. Army. He received the purple heart and was a lifetime member of the D.A.V.
He was a member of Shultz Grove Methodist Church. His parents, son, Ronnie McAlister, daughter, Audrey McAlister; 3 brothers, John B., William, and Alton McAlister; 2 sisters, Wave Lunsford and Vege Cureton, preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Erma Shultz McAlister, son, Jimmy McAlister; daughters, Carol Reagan, of Gatlinburg; Tammy Kloke of Sevierville; Theresa Moore of Cosby; and Robin Palmer of Cookeville; five grandchildren.
