Mabel Burnett Bell, 86, of 1315 Ohio Street passed away Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Avante of Waynesboro.
She was born June 13, 1928 in Waynesboro, a daughter of the late William H. and Lilly M. Morris Burnett.
Mrs. Bell was a homemaker, a member of Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church and a member of WMU.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Bell, a sister, Phyllis Berry and two brothers; Melvin Burnett, Archie Burnett, and a great-grandchild Addison Bower.
Survivors include her four daughters; Connie Whitesell and husband Dave, Vicki Purvis and husband Jack, Kim Bell, all of Waynesboro, Vonda Starick and husband Jeff of Waterford, Michigan, one brother, Vernon Burnett of Waynesboro, two sisters; Agatha Marshall of Fishersville, Shirley Hall of Waynesboro, six grandchildren; Keri Martin and husband Chris, Scott Whitesell and wife Caitlin, B.J. Purvis and fiance' Amanda Ross, Jordan Purvis, Casey Starick, Connie Lynn Starick, great-grandchildren; Mallory Martin, Cameron Martin, Reed Whitesell, Austin Purvis, Payton Byrd and Bryce Bower.
A service will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 2, 2015 at Shenandoah Heights Baptist Church with Pastor Paul LaPrevotte officiating. Burial will follow in Riverview Cemetery.
Active pallbearers Kenny Hall, David Burnett, Danny Burnett, Terry Marshall, Jeff Berry and David Mitchell.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 PM Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Waynesboro Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
