Harvey J. Sibell was born on December 11, 1913 to Henry and Anna (Johnson) sibell in Montana. After schooling, Harvey moved to Minnesota. He worked on a farm in Belle Plain, Minnesota and also out in North Dakota as a potato picker. He served his country during WWII, returning from the service and working in Minneapolis for the Archer Daniel's Midland Co. Harvey came to the Osakis area in 1963. He worked for the Osakis Silo Co. He was united in marriage to Vera Engstrom. Due to a prolonged illness he had been confined to his home for the last years of his life.
Harvey is survived by his wife, Vera of Osakis, five brothers: Virgil, Alvin, Rudolph of California, Gail of Osakis and Herbert Sibell of Minneapolis.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral services for Harvey were held on Saturday, April 5, 1986 at 10 a.m. at the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home Chapel in Osakis with Rev. Morris Vold officiating. Interment was at the West Evergreen Cemetery in Osakis. Pallbearers for Harvey were Glenn and Arthur and Reuben Sibell, Oliver Togstad, Kermit Peterson and Ellis Halgrimson. Funeral arrangements were handled by the Roy-Hetland Funeral Home in Osakis.
