Miss Mary L. Balch died at her residence, 1311 11th street, yesterday. Miss Balch was the daughter of the late Rev. T.B. Balch, D.D., and, on the maternal side, granddaughter of Colonel Charles Carter of the “Shirley” homestead in Virginia. Funeral services will be held at Gunton Temple Memorial Church tomorrow at 3 o’clock p.m. For many years Miss Balch had been an educator in this city, and well known for her charitable deeds.
