John Edward Abbott, 58 S. State st., died last night at the home of his mother, where he had been visiting.
He was born in Kansas City, Mo., on July 3, 1870.
He was a member of the First Congregational Church.
Surviving him are his mother, Elizabeth Abbott of Chicago; three daughters, Mrs. Edith Rowe, Mrs. Mildred Popp and Miss Alice Abbott; a son, Edward Abbott; four sisters, Miss Annie Abbott, Miss Elizabeth Abbott of Chicago, Mrs. Alice Hodgson of Oak Park, Mrs. Edith Bryant of Cleveland; three brothers, Walter Abbott, Charles Abbott and Herbert Abbott of Chicago; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife three years ago and by a daughther, Mrs. Blanche Weyrauch this week.
Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon at 1 from the Wait-Ross-Allanson funeral church with Rev. Alexander Milmine officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel.
