Mrs. Sarah Nell Arendale Hadaway Boyd, age 76, born in Chattanooga on February 24, 1938, passed away on January 28, 2015.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Arendale and mother, Mary Martha Arendale Russell, first husband, Charles Hadaway and second husband, Robert Boyd, as well as two brothers, Herman Arendale and Raymond Glen Arendale.

Survivors include her sisters, Lucille Colvin of Bridgeport, AL and Frances (Bob) Shriver of Soddy Daisy, TN; three stepsons, Miles Boyd of New Jersey, Stan Boyd of Jacksonville, FL, and Roger Boyd of Chattanooga, T N; and several nieces and nephews.

Sarah was retired from provident Life and Accident Insurance Company with 43 years of service. She was a member of Signal Mountain Church of Christ.

The family would like to express appreciation to Gail Baxton for her love and care for Sarah.

Funeral services will be held at Lane Funeral Home, 601 Ashland Terrace on Friday, January 30th at 11:00 (est) followed by viewing at South Pittsburg Church of Christ from 1 to 2 PM (cst) and interment at Rocky Springs Cemetery in Bridgeport, AL.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Martin Boyd Christian Home, 6845 Standifer Gap Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421.
