Joe Frierson Jr., 75, of Columbia, died Friday, May 16, 2003, at his residence.
Services will be held at 1 pm Tuesday at Bethel Chapel A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Ashley Cox officiating.
The body will lie-in-state Monday at V.K. Ryan & Son Funeral Home.
Burial is in Fiendship Calvary Community Cemetery on Witherspoon ROad.
A native of Maury County, he was the son of the late Joe and Susie Frierson. Hie attended the County school system and was employed by Maury County Board of Education and was a school bus driver for 35 years, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of Bethel Chapel A.M.E. Church.
Survivors include his wife Mrs. Annie M. Frierson; son Steve Frierson of Columbia; stepdaughter Mary Ann (Joseph) Fennessee of Columbia; a grandson; sisters Idener Beasley of Indianapolis, IN and Georgia Frierson of Columbia; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
