She was born September 5, 1935, in Warren County, the daughter of Robert and Louise Emma Verhey Cooper. Dorothy married Harold Harlan Adams; he preceded her in death on April 12, 1995.
Dorothy graduated Veedersburg High School in 1953. She worked at Rockwood and was a homemaker throughout her life. Dorothy enjoyed taking care of her family and spending time with her grandchildren. She had a kind heart and helped anyone that needed it.
Surviving Dorothy are her children, Bob (Theresa) Adams, Emma Moyer (John Ball), and Sam Adams Sr.; three sisters, Margaret Austin, Virginia (Henry) Adams, and Alberta Cooper; 13 grandchildren, Amber, Tyler, Kathy, Kristy, Josh, Chris, Shannon, Sam Jr., Holly, Harold, Brandon, Belinda, and Justin, 24 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Dorothy is preceded in death by her parents, sons, Paul Adams and Kenny Adams; brothers, Robert Cooper and Russell Cooper; and sisters, Elizabeth Cooper, Bonnie Cooper, and LaVeda Cooper.
Visitation for Dorothy will be held at Genda Funeral Home Rossville Chapel on Friday, January 30, 2015, from 1:00 p.m. to the start of the funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Pastor Guy Studebaker will officiate. Burial will follow in Rossville Cemetery.
