Mrs. Pelogie Grard, 96, of 37 Church Street, Wethersfield, Conn., widow of August Grard, died Sunday morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Wood.
She was born in Canada and had made her home in Fairfield for 40 years before moving to Wethersfield three years ago. She was a communicant of Corpus Christi Church in Wethersfield.
Mrs. Grard is survived by four sons, Napoleon Grard, George Grard, Francis Grard, all of Fairfield, and Henry Grard of Bangor; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Wood of Wethersfield, and Mrs. Martin Glidden of Carmel; a sister, Mrs. Sophie Viricel of Maine; 33 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning, with a Solemn Requiem Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Church at 8 a.m.
Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Waterville.
Friends may call at the Lawry Brothers Funeral Home, Fairfield, from 7 to 10 p.m. today and 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. Tuesday.
