Mr Mize was a Veteran of the US Navy serving during WWII in the Pacific as a US Navy Seabee. He and his wife D'Ette continued attended yearly 59th NCB conventions until the last one in 2007.
Henry was a construction superintendent for L.S. Bradshaw and also for Waggoner Construction Company. He was the job supervisor over numerous schools, plants, banks and churches. Knox Middle School and First Presbyterian Church were two of his jobs he was most proud.
He was a member of Park Avenue Methodist Church.
Service was at 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at Summersett Memorial Chapel.
Burial followed at Rowan Memorial Park with Military Honors.
