Donald L. Myers, 77, of Findlay passed away at 6:20 p.m. on Monday, January 26, 2015 at the Bridge Hospice Care Center, Bowling Green, OH. Donald was born on March 22, 1937, to the late Raymond and Edna (George) Myers in Belmore, OH. He married Miriam A. Steiner on January 12, 1963, and she preceded him in death on June 4, 1997. Donald is survived by his children: Valerie (Brian) Bradfield of Waterville, David (Marie) Myers of Deshler, OH, and Heidi (Pat) Doerr of Chicago, IL; nine grandchildren: Brianna, Nathan, Brissa, and Maxwell Bradfield, Bryson, Meredith, Brenner Myers, and Annabelle and Stella Doerr. Donald was also preceded in death by his brother, Walter Myers; and sisters: Hazel Coldren, Dorothy Marquart, and Helen Myers. Donald worked for and retired from the Hercules Tire and Rubber Company after 32 years of service and was a lifelong farmer. Donald was a member of the Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Findlay and the Fraternal Order of Eagles Lodge in Leipsic. He loved to farm and go to the Dark Horse for breakfast. He just loved to work and worked hard whether it be on the farm, in the farm shop, or at Hercules. Visitation will be from 2:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, January 30, 2015 at COLDREN-CRATES FUNERAL HOME, Findlay. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Findlay, where visitation will be one hour prior to the service from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Pastor Robert Krueger will officiate and burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery, Findlay. Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to Cancer Patient Services and/or Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
