Jack was the owner of Lawyer's Title Company of Houston for many years. He was considered an authority in the Title business and was known throughout the state of Texas for his expertise in that business.
He was an avid collector of various arts and a great fan of the performing arts. He was a large supporter of the Kentucky Shakespeare Festival in Louisville and part owner of a theater in Clarksville, Indiana.
He is survived by his brother Max Baumgardner and nephews Mark Metcalfe and William King all of Louisville, KY. and all of his many friends in Houston.
His family is grateful for the loving care he received from Raymundo Roman and the Roman family, and the people who helped with his healthcare.
Arrangements are handled by Bradshaw-Carter of Houston with private interment at Forest Park Lawndale
