Funeral services for May L. Bely, 79, of Chamberlain will be January 28, 2015 at the Hickey Funeral Chapel in Chamberlain with burial in the Kimball Cemetery at Kimball, SD. May L Bely was born May 21, 1935 to Clarence and Gertrude (Houska) Bely. She attended country grade school and graduated from Chamberlain High School on May 21, 1953. May's mother passed away at an early age and May had to care for her sister Avis while Avis was attending high school in Chamberlain.May spent her life working with figures, numbers, and counting money. She worked at Northwestern Bank in Chamberlain and for the past 48 years worked at Al's Oasis in Oacoma for the Mueller Family. May was a simple and quiet person, never wanting for much or attention either. She enjoyed her family of nieces and nephews and their extended families who loved her dearly.May passed away on January 24, 2015 at Prairie View Assisted Living in Kimball, SD at the age of 79 years. Preceding her in death were her parents, brothers Dale, Alton, and LeRoy and wife Wilma; sister Avis Spier and husband Lenard; nephew Craig Spier; and a nephew-in-law Larry Hines.
