Nellie and Stanley obtained the first Chicago marriage license of 1921 and were married that same day, 3 January. Nellie and Stanley first lived in Manistee, Michigan but later moved to Cuyahoga County, Ohio. They were residents of Lakewood, Ohio for many years. Nellie was a member of St. Mark's Parish, a past grand regent of Court Lakewood of the Catholic Daughters, a member of the National Council of Catholic Women and a representative of St. Francis Xavier Mission Association. Nellie taught for some years at St. Clement's Catholic School in Lakewood. After their son, Robert, and his family moved to California, Nellie and Stanley also moved there. While preparing their new home, Nellie suddenly died.
