HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Virginia Burns Lott, 88, of Hedgesville, died Sunday, Jan. 30, 2000, at The Heartland of Martinsburg Nursing Home.

Born Jan. 6, 1912, in Charles Town, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Lena Porter Burns.

She retired from City Hospital, Martinsburg, as a registered nurse after 15 years.

She attended Independent Bible Church.

She is survived by her husband, Randolph B. Lott; three sons five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Burns and John Porter Burns Sr.; five sisters, Elizabeth Burns, Agnes Burns, Anna Lee Burns, Martha Mason and Rebecca Vacher; and two grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Independent Bible Church. The Revs. Mark Johnson and Curt Lowry will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. at Rosedale Funeral Chapel.
