Helen Elizabeth Brown, 98, of Alma, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2015. She was born December 3, 1916 in Dardanelle to the late G.C. and Maude Warren Crowe. She was a hairdresser; and a member of Alma United Methodist Church. She played the piano and taught Sunday school for many years. She was also a member of the women's group called the Fannie Miller Circle. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.D. Brown.
She is survived by two sons, Dale Brown and wife Kay of Alma, and Donald Ray Brown of North Carolina; six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, twelve great-great-grandchildren, and two great-great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
Pallbearers will be her great-grandchildren.
