They had seven children: Troy Oma Mae, Mary Viola, Charles Haskell, Grandville Roscoe, Ruel, Jewell, and L. J. Tallent. Only 3 survive into adulthood.

"Funeral services will be conducted for Arthur A. Tallent, retired farmer, 603 West 9th street, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist church with Reverend H. L. Janes officiating. Burial services are in charge of Martin-Hullum and will take place at Delhi. He died Tuesday after an illness of 17 months.
Mr. Tallent was born May 10, 1884, at Madisonville, Tenn., son of Lenual and McLenda [Lemuel & Malinda] Tallent. He was married on November 27, 1904, to Miss Myrtle Moses at Madisonville, Tenn.; his wife still survives him. He took residence in Elk City in 1911 calling this his home ever since.
Four children have preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Myrtle Tallent; daughters, Mrs. Oma Piercy, Mrs. Viola Plemons, all of Elk City, and a son, Roscoe Tallent of Marysville, Tenn. He is also survived by a sister, Miss Dobie Tallent of Athens, Tenn., and two brothers, George Tallent, Marysville, Tenn., Harvey Tallent, Etowah, Tenn."
