H. Abbott, local contractor, living at stop 3 on the interurban died at his residence Tuesday. Mr. Abbott had been a resident of Fort Worth since 1902 and was well known in his profession. Mr. Abbott was well known in Jacksboro, Texas, and had lived in Jacksboro for some time. He was just completing the new building of the Broadway Baptist Church at St. Louis Avenue and Broadway in Fort Worth, Texas, and had recently begun work on the Broadway Presbyterian Church just across the street from the Baptist church.

Mr. Abbott was preceded in death by several children, who are all interred in the Oakwood Cemetery in Jacksboro.

While a native of Alabama, Mr. Abbott has spent the larger part of his life in Texas. He was a member of the Ruby lodge, Knights of Pythias, and a deacon in the Broadway Baptist Church.

Funeral services were at Broadway Baptist Church, Dr. P. E. Burroughs officiating. The body was taken to Oakwood cemetery in Jacksboro, Texas, for interment.
