While a native of Alabama, Mr. Abbott has spent the larger part of his life in Texas. He was a member of the Ruby lodge, Knights of Pythias, and a deacon in the Broadway Baptist Church.
Funeral services were at Broadway Baptist Church, Dr. P. E. Burroughs officiating. The body was taken to Oakwood cemetery in Jacksboro, Texas, for interment.
