The 1900 census, Blue Mountain Township, taken June 4th and 5th, shows Sarah with having had thirteen children with twelve living. Joe Ray Bickle said that she died from a self inflicted gunshot wound. She came from a large family and had fifteen brothers and sisters. Ironically, five of her children never married and one of them was divorced.
