Silas D. Adams, aged 86 years, died at 1:20 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Tomlinson, 318 Sixth avenue, Juniata, of senility.

He was born in Cambria county, May 10, 1833 and had resided in this city for fifty years. He was formerly employed as a machinist in the local shops, having been placed on the retired list sixteen years ago.

His wife died 25 years ago. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic church.

Seven children survive; Mrs. Mary Straup, Mrs. Nellie Plummer, and Mrs. Margaret Bennett, all of Cleveland; William D. of Columbus, O.; Mrs. Elizabeth Tomlinson of Juniata and Mrs. Alice McCauley and Mrs. Susan Zeak, both of this city.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 o'clock at Holy Rosary church, followed by interment in St. John's cemetery.
