Amanda M. Marlow Taylor.
Amanda was the daughter of John and Nancy J Marlow.

Her death came at the birth of her last daughter Amanda Vinnie Taylor Evington #3706617 . She died near Corkery Mo and was put in a boat and transported across the river to be buried in a cemetery unknown to us.

It is possible she was taken to a Native American Site for burial or to a Marlow family cemetery. It is my opinion Amanda was adopted by the Marlow family and given a Christian Name thus she is on the Census. She had native American appearance. This would explain the lack of birth and death records. The statement she was sent across the river near Corkery at her death could indicate placement in a Native American burial place noted today near Corkery landing. Native Americans were sometimes denied burial in Christian Cemeteries as a result of prejudice.

I beleive Mills Drury Taylor would have found a way to make it right by his standard. Thus to maintain a continuity, I placed here here for now.
