Services Are Held For Mrs. Kearns

Private funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Kearns, Princeton, were held Tuesday, September 18, at the Howard Johnson Funeral home, Manlius. The Rev. Everett Chambers, Princeton, officiated, and burial in Manlius cemetery. Organist was Mrs. George Twidell, and casket bearers were Harry Andrews, Earl Beaber, Gail Lindelof, Virgil Anderson, Niles Anderson, and Lloyd Anderson.
Mrs. Kearns died Sunday, September 16, at Prairie View Nursing home. She was born February 26, 1870, in Kirksville, Missouri, daughter of Luke and Josie Foster Van DeLinden. She was married to Jay McMains in 1889. After his death she was married to Frank Kearns November 11, 1912 at Ottumwa, Iowa. He died in 1943.
She leaves two daughters, Violet, Mrs. August Lindelof, Tampico, and Mrs. Shannon Moe, Princeton; 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, one son, Raymond McMains, Princeton, and one brother, Lewis Van DeLinden, of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, and one half-brother.
