Clementine Hankins married John Richard Sampson on September 15, 1890 in Cicero, Tipton Indiana. They had one daughter, Sarah Elizabeth Violet Sampson and adopted another, Flossie Belle Sampson. After John Richard Sampson's death in March, 1909 in Tipton, Indiana, she married Charles Watson McCurdy on February 19, 1916 in Elwood, Indiana. In 1930, Clementine and Charles moved to Hartford City to be near Clementine's daughter, Violet Williams due to hers and husband Charles failing health.

Clementine died on Christmas Day, 1937, one week after Charles had died at Blackford County Hospital in Hartford City. She was buried next to her mother, Elizabeth McNew Hankins East on December 28, 1937 in Howard Cemetery, Madison County, Indiana.
