Frances Gasparac Marron was born in Park City on December 7, 1920 to Joseph Gasparac and Jennie Lake.

She passed away on January 15, 2015 in Salt Lake City.

Frances grew up in Park City, attending Saint Mary's Catholic School and graduating from Park City High, where she was a member of the girls' basketball team.

She was employed by Palace Grocery, then the Office of Price Administration.

The Gasparac family moved to Salt Lake City in 1945, where she then worked for the VA Hospital.

She married Peter O. Marron on May 7, 1949 in Salt Lake City.

Frances was a founding member of Saint Ambrose Parish. Active in the Altar Society, Catholic Women's League, and the Catholic Women's bowling league. She was blessed with a beautiful soprano voice and sung in the Saint Ambrose choir for many years.

Frances loved spending time with her grandchildren. Friday lunches after school with them was the highpoint of her week. She enjoyed watching them perform in dance recitals and concerts and all their many sporting events.

Frances was a devoted Ute fan and past member of the Crimson Club. She couldn't wait for football season to start. She enjoyed singing and dancing in the Judge Memorial Follies and Holy Cross Benefit shows. Her recurring role as one of the "Andrew Sisters" was a highlight of these events.

She is survived by her children, Peter (Sharon), Pamela Sewell, and Michael (Kimberly); and her grandchildren, Brenna, Breanna, George, Tori, Nicholas, and Thomas; as well as many nieces and nephews. Her sister, Louise, also survives her. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; brothers, Joseph and Frank; and uncle, George.

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in Saint Ambrose Catholic Church, 1975 South 2300 East. The Holy Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, January 23, 2015 at Neil O'Donnell and Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, where friends may visit 6:00-7:00 p.m.
Committal: Mount Calvary Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street.
