Henry Edward Tanner, 65, of 40 Diana, a vice president of Pepper & Tanner Inc. a former merchant and farmer, died of cancer at 10:10 AM yesterday, August 20, at St. Joseph Hospital. Burial in Portageville Cemetery in Portageville, MO. He was a member of Union Avenue Church of Christ and was a Mason.
He leaves his wife, Mrs. Ruth Bryson Tanner; three sons, William B. Tanner of 4330 Chickasaw, Henry Faye Tanner, of 3061 McGee and Herbert Tanner of Hardy, AR; a daughter, Mrs. Douglas Ruddick of Portageville; three sisters, 14 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.
