Mrs. Lula E. Algee

WILBERFORCE - Services were held Friday afternoon at the Henry Garcia residence, Garcia Dr., for Mrs. Lula E. Algee, 96, mother of Mrs. Garcia. She resided with the family and died there Monday.

The daughter of Charles and Mary Young, she was born Nov. 17, 1871, in Nashville, Tenn. She moved to Wilberforce 21 years ago; following the death of her husband, William E. Algee, an attorney.

She was graduated from Megg High School and the normal school in Nashville and was a teacher before her marriage.
Mrs. Algee lived in Iowa for about 50 years. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Marian, and a son, Alvin.

Other survivors are one other daughter, Mrs. Henry Harding of St. Louis, Mo.; a son, Edward W. Algee, an attorney in Omaha, Nebr.; six grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren.

Burial will be made in Miami Valley Memorial Gardens, with the Winfred Funeral Home, 335 E. Market St., in charge. Rev. Lyman Liggins conducted the services.
