A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church for Fadrey Sonnier Breaux, 97, who passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 1:10 am at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center.
Her grandson Reverend Buddy Breaux, Pastor of St. Joseph Catholic Church, will be Celebrant of the Mass.
Entombment will take place in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Mausoleum.
Fadrey, a resident of Leroy, LA, was the daughter of the late Alcee Sonnier and the former Adela Hebert.
Fadrey, known in Leroy as "Miss Fed," and her husband owned and operated Breaux's Grocery Store in Leroy, LA for many years.
She was a loving wife mother, sister, and "Mommie" to her grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Gale Breaux and wife Annette, Arline Shinn and husband David, Fayette Veverka and husband Jim, Leonard Breaux and wife Lisa and Jerry Breaux; her grandchildren, Wendy Harris, Reverend Buddy Breaux, Lane Breaux, Tim Gary, Tina Gory, Tonya Gary, Troy Gary, Corey Veverka, Lindsey Breaux, Lucas Breaux; fourteen great grandchildren and her seven great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of fifty nine years, Otis Breaux; her sister, Enola Broussard and her brothers, Francis, Sabrey, Dalton and Loyba Sonnier.
A Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm on Sunday,January 25, 2015 evening in the funeral home.
Her grandchildren will serve as Pallbearers.
