Hildegarde E. Witter, 79, Weston passed away on Tuesday, November 19, 2014 at St. Claire's Hospital.
Hildegarde was born on October 27, 1935 to the late Leo and Hildegarde (Discher) Thomas. She went onto marry the late August Charleston Witter on September 25, 1954.
She was a past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star, member of D.A.V. Auxiliary, Goldstar Wives and Royal Neighbors of America.
Hildegarde is survived by her four children, Tim (Peg) Witter, Terry Witter, Tammy (Subhash) Nigam, and Todd (Lisa) Witter; eleven grandchildren, Steven Witter, Susan (Jonathan) Blumreich, Sarah Witter, Travis (Emily) Witter, Dustin (Joelle) Witter, Terri Lynn Witter, Michael (Amanda) Witter and Nicholas (Ashley) Witter, Shankar, Sushila, and Prakash Nigam; eight great-grandchildren, Layla Witter, Dylan Blumreich, Callie Blumreich, Ayden Blumreich, Aissen Witter, Melodie Witter, Adilyn Witter, and Liam Witter; four brothers, Robert (Karin) Thomas, Leon (Bernadette) Thomas, Michael (Eldonna) Thomas, and Patrick Thomas and one sister, Ruthie (Rodger) Josiger.
Besides her parents and husband, Hildegarde is preceded in death by her two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Brainard Funeral Home, 522 Adams St., Wausau, WI 54403. Rev. Tim Vanden Langenberg will officiate. Burial will be at Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
Hildegarde's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and CNAs at St. Claire's Hospital for their kindness and care for Hildegarde while she was there.
