Mr. Patterson James Ainsworth, 88 of Snyder,TX died on Friday, January 23, 2015 in Sweetwater, Texas.
A Masonic Graveside service for Mr. Ainsworth will be held on Monday, January 26, 2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Hillside Memorial Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home.
Mr. Ainsworth was born on November 17, 1926 in Borden County , TX to Eugene Patterson and Carrie (Dargitz) Ainsworth. He married Beverly Johnston on January 22, 1949 in Sweetwater, Texas. He was a U.S. Merchant Marine in World War II. Later he was a driller for Sante Fe and South Eastern Drilling Companies having worked in Iran and Libya. He was a member of Fluvanna Church of Christ.
He is survived by: (3) Daughters: Marsha A. Cribbs and husband Barry, Snyder, TX Patsy A. Childress and husband Lee, Midland, TX Roxanna A. Jones and husband Fred, Abilene, TX (4) Grandsons: Charles Cribbs, Snyder, TX Cody Cribbs and wife Penny, Fluvanna, TX Max Childress and wife Kiva, San Angelo, TX Aaron Childress and wife Melanie, Midland, TX (2) Granddaughters: Stephanie Hatfield, Abilene, TX Jennifer Jones, Pegosa Springs, CO (9) Great Grandchildren: Caitlyn, Lillie, Kaitlyn, Cason and Cash Cribbs. Also Ryann Rosas and Cameron, Zoe and Kyli Childress.
He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Lloyd and E.J. (Mike)Ainsworth and 1 sister, Anna Budock.
Visitation will be held from 6 PM to7 PM at Bell-Cypert-Seale Funeral Home on Sunday, January 25, 2015.
