Funeral services for Jerome Dreiling of Victoria, who died Thursday at Hadley Regional Medical Center, have been announced by Cline's Mortuary. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Fidelis Church there. Dreiling was 72 at the time of his death.
A retired telegrapher with Union Pacific for most of his adult life, Dreiling was born and grew up in Victoria. He had been a resident of St. John's Rest Home there since 1968.
Survivors include: his widow, Alma, of the rest home; one son, Fr. Gay C.P.P.S., of La Oroya, Peru; one daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Jeraldine) Petroff of Clarkston, Mich.; four brothers, Ray Dreiling of Hays, Francis Dreiling of Wichita, Fr. Kilian Dreiling of WaKeeney, and Paul Dreiling of Topeka; nine sisters, Sr. Virginitta of El Paso, Texas, Mrs. Linus (Alberta) Von Lintel of Hays, Mrs. George (Ada) Zerr of Park, Mrs. Dan (Felicisias) Dreiling of Junction City, Sena Dreiling and Sophia Dreiling of Victoria, Mrs. Adolph (Margaret) Dinkel, also of Victoria, Mrs. Delvin (Marie) Brady of Dodge City, and Mrs. Armella Grote of Canon City, Colo.
A parish wake service will be held at 8 p.m. Sunday at Cline's Mortuary, Victoria. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at Cline's from 5 p.m. Sunday until the time of services.
