Served in World War II in the Army Air Corps and was trained as a Navigator and flew combat missions on B-24s, B-26s and B-29 Bombers in the Pacific and China-Burma-India Theaters of War. In addition, he flew 'Kee Bird' missions over the North Pole and combat missions during the Korean War, retiring from active duty during the Vietnam War.

Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur T. and Lois (Peyton) Stafford Sr.

Survivors: wife of 58 years, Claire (Pontus) Stafford; sisters, Perry Jo Hornak and Wanda Price and Flo Dean Orndorff; daughters, Terri Richardson (Bert)and Lois Molidor (Michael); son, Arthur Theodore Stafford III (Elisabeth Morgan Stafford; grandchildren, Cory Richardson, Emily and Barbara Stafford, and Sarah (Molidor) Bond, Audrey, Matthew (preceded in death), John, Anna, Katherine, Mary, James and Theresa Molidor; great grandchildren, James, Angelina and Christian Bond.

Visitation: Wednesday, Feb. 8 at Colonial Funeral Home
Rosary: Wednesday, 8 February at the Colonial Funeral Home, 625 Kitty Hawk Road, Universal City, Texas, 210-658-7037.
Mass: Thursday, 9 February at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, in Schertz, Texas followed by burial with full military honors.

Arrangements: Colonial Funeral Home.
