DIXON. Viola (Adamson) Dixon, 78, of Southington, died Tuesday (Sept. 1, 1992) at New Britain General Hospital.
She was born in Manchester, and had lived in Southington for 28 years.
She was an executive secretary having been employed at the General Electric Co., Plainville.
She was a member of St. Mark's Episcopal Church, New Britain, St. Elizabeth Guild, and had graduated from Hillyer College.
She is survived by her husband, Clinton A. Dixon Sr.; a son, Clinton A. Dixon Jr.; a daughter-in-law, Marie H. Dixon, both of Manchester; a daughter, Margaret Burgess; a son-in-law, David Burgess, both of Suresnes, France; a brother, Fred adamson of Montclaire, Calif.; two sisters, Alice Gilbert of Rocky Hill, and Helen McHugh of Manchester; and six grandchildren, Clinton A. Dixon III of Vernon, Bradley R. Dixon of Virginia Beach, Va., Jonathan F. Dixon serving in the U.S. Navy, Aaron W. Dixon of Manchester, Elizabeth, and Claire Burgess, both of Suresnes, France.
She was predeceased by two brothers, Earle, and William Adamson.
Funeral service will be Friday, 1 p.m., at the Rose Hill Funeral Home, 580 Elm St., Rocky Hill, with burial in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
Friends may call at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, friends may send donations to St. Mark's Episcopal Church Elevator Fund.
