Arthur Lavon Bigler, 72, of Taylor, Arizona passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones August 25, 2014. Arthur was a “firecracker” born on the 4th of July in Heber, Arizona to Laureld Arthur and Vera Porter Bigler. He grew up on a ranch raising horses and herding cattle. In high school and throughout his life he enjoyed playing sports. Arthur served as a full time missionary for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Texas Mission from 1961-1963. He married his sweetheart, Jill Kimball Bigler, August 20, 1966 in the Mesa Arizona Temple. Following his graduation from college with a Bachelor’s of Science in Agriculture the happy couple owned and operated a 900 acre ranch outside Snowflake, Arizona. They moved from the ranch into the town of Snowflake and later to Taylor, Arizona where he lived for the remainder of his life. Arthur’s favorite interests included ranching, sports, hunting and spending time with friends and family. He was a faithful member of the church and served in many capacities. He was a respected member of the community, loyal friend, and loving husband and father. He was preceded in death by daughter, Becky. He is survived by his wife Jill and seven children and their spouses, as well as, twenty-one grandchildren.
