He was a retired farmer.
He was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Emma Beck Ritchey; a son, Walter Ritchey of Sheridan; two daughters, Mrs. Leona Benning of Prattsville and Mrs. Zelma Grubbs of Alexander; a brother, Lee Ritchey of Pine Bluff; a sister, Mrs. Sally Keesee of Benton; 15 grandchildren; and 28 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Buie Funeral Home at Sheridan. Burial will be at Philadelphia Cemetery.
