Mrs. Marie Allara Brown, 89, of Marion, died Thursday, May 11, 1995, in Richmond. She was the widow of Emmett E. Brown. She was formerly of Matewan, W.Va. and Marion, Va. Her husband, Emmett E. Brown was former owner of B & C Oil Company of Matewan, W.Va. She was a member of the Eastern Star Calista Boyd Chapter 104 in Matewan, W.Va. and a member of the Matewan United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank M. Allara and Jack M. Allara and one sister, Elizabeth Ross. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Betty Finley of Richmond, Mrs. Ernestine Price of Carlisle, Pa., and Mrs. Linda Stephenson of Murfreesboro, Tenn.; one sister, Mrs. Josephine Hope of Matewan, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held Sunday, May 14, 1995, at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Memory Gardens in Maher, W.Va. The family will receive friends Saturday evening from 7 until 9 p.m. at Seaver-Brown Chapel, Mari on.
