Arthur A. Davidson, 74, of Monett, MO, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2015 at his home with his family by his side. Arthur was in an accident while working with cattle at the stockyards in June of 2005 that has led to his declining health.

Arthur was born on October 18, 1940 in Sarcoxie, MO, son of the late Reverend Carl A. Davidson and Vera {Burris} Davidson. Arthur graduated from Sarcoxie High School with the Class of 1958. He had served six months in active duty with the National Guard. Arthur loved horses and livestock. He was a lifelong self-employed "Cowboy". For many years, he owned Welch Stockyards and Davidson's Quarter Horses. Arthur loved team roping, and he and his wife had opened their home numerous summers to kids that wanted to learn how to rope, ride and shoe horses. He was also a member of Redwood Bible Holiness Church, Sarcoxie.

On July 14, 1962 in Pierce City, MO, Arthur married Mary Sue Brandt. They were blessed with over fifty-two years of wonderful memories together. To this union, one daughter was born.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Sue Davidson, of the home; one daughter, Cheri Davidson and Chad Kelly, of Monett; several nieces, nephews and a host of extended family and friends. Arthur was preceded in death by one brother; and one sister.

Graveside services for Mr. Davidson were held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery, Monett. Reverend Kenneth Filsinger officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions have been requested to the Arthur Davidson Scholarship Fund in care of the funeral home or CNB Bank, Monett.
