Charlie McCoy "Coy" Isaacs was the first born of ten children born to Aaron Wesley Isaacs and Martha Alice Ashley Isaacs. His siblings were Martin Brownlow "Brown", Cozy Jane, Sara Annar, Sadie Alverta, Maude Mae, Bertha L. "Bertie", Burnett, Earl, and Maggie. All the children were born in Mitchell County, except Burnett (born in Avery Co.), and then Earl and Maggie were born in Carter County, Tennessee.

The family moved from Carter County, Tn. to the McDowell County, N.C. vicinity around 1928. "Coy" had married Mary Eva Turbeyfill Isaacs in Carter County, Tn., on March 14, 1920. He and "Evie" had three children, Gaylon Helton Isaacs, Dallas Holt Isaacs, and Elwanda Isaacs Finley.

Coy was my Uncle as he being a brother of my Mother, Maggie, to which was the youngest of the siblings. She presently is still alive. I grew up living right next to my Grandparents, so I remember Coy visiting them many times over the years.
