Our loving father, grandfather, and friend, Dale N. Henning, age 80, passed away on December 26, 2014 in Salt Lake City.

He was born in Snohomish County, Washington on August 26, 1934 to Clarence and Vera Layton Henning.

Married Edith Brooks on May 21, 1971.

Dale was a hard worker. His careers included fireman, police officer, barber, and, most recently, as a security guard for Tooele Army Depot and Kennecott Mine Visitor's Center.

Dale enjoyed fishing, golfing, and learning about aircraft.

He served his country proudly in the United States Navy for twelve years.

Survived by his children, Sherry, Ralph (Nanette), Wayne (Rachael), Lynn (Elaine), Lynette, Cheryl, and Mike (Debbie); twelve grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Edith; parents; and one grandchild, Amanda.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 31, 2014 at Redwood Memorial Estates Cemetery, with viewings from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30, 2014 and one hour prior to the services.
