LESTER A. COLMAN

Lester A. Colman died at Crouse-Irving hospital, Syracuse, September 10th.

He was born near Fly Creek, Oct. 29, 1886, the oldest son of Arthur J. and Jeanette (Bliss) Colman. He married Lyra M. Cook, Feb. 27, 1907 at Hartwick.

Mr. Colman is survived by his wife; five daughter, Mrs. Emily Farrington, St. Petersburg, Fla., Mrs. Marion Jones and Mrs. Dorothy Butler, Fayetteville; Mrs. Evelyn Faulkner and Mrs. Carolyn Buffurn, Syracuse; two sons, Norman L. and H. Marcus, Syracuse; one sister, Mrs. blanche Knowlton, Ithaca; one brother, Floyd, California, eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the Butler Funeral Home, Syracuse, Sept. 13th with burial at Onondaga Valley cemetery, Syracuse.

Those attending the funeral from away were Mrs. Blanche Knowlton and Dan Jeanne of Ithaca; Mrs. William Farrington, St. Petersburg; George Conover and Mr. and Mrs. Harris Clark, Cooperstown; Mr. and Mrs. Orlo J. Burch and Mr. and Mrs. Burton G. Robinson, Hartwick; Mrs. Bernard Mathewson, Sidney.

Mr. Colman had worked on the N. Y. Central R. R. for 42 years and lived in Syracuse, 38 years.

He was a member of the Brotherhood of R. R. Trainman, and the Danforth Congregational church.
