Dr. Paul E. More, 'Humanist,' Dies Prlnceton, N. J.,
March 9 — Dr. Paul Elmer More, educator, author and internationally known literary critic and philosopher, died today In his home, 59 Battle Road here, after a long Illness. He was 72. In association with the late Prof. Irving Babbitt of Harvard University he led the movement known in this country as "The New Humanism." Dr. More dealt with the movement in his writings, "The Shelburne Essays," consisting of "literary and moral criticisms on numerous subjects, including philosophy, religion and literature, and "The Greek Tradition" which traced the historical connections between Greek philosophy and Christian thought in its formative stages.
