Dom was self-employed for most of his life as a carpenter. He was a hard worker and could fix, build, or roof just about anything. Dom loved and was truly at peace with nature. Literally all his life, he was rarely without a dog or several cats by his side.
As much as Dom loved nature and animals, he loved his family even more. He took great pride in and enjoyment from his children, grandchildren, and great-granddaughters and would delight in sharing stories about their lives with others.
Those that knew Dom knew of his big heart, easy smile, hearty chuckle, and that devilish twinkle in his eyes (and possibly his penchant for practical jokes). All these things and more will be sorely missed.
Dominick is survived by children, Peter (Brenda) Appleglise of Peshtigo, WI, Carl Appleglise of Milford, IA, Ron (Jill) Pierce of Chaska, MN, Wendy (Billy Joe) Worth of Berlin, WI, and Dusti (Chad) Cermak of Iowa City, IA; a brother, Tony Jr. Appleglise of Athelstane, WI; 2 sisters, Betty (Bob) Bemis of Crivitz, WI, and Donna Appleglise of Athelstane, WI. Dominick is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 2 great-granddaughters. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two wonderful men: a brother, Pete Appleglise, and a grandson, Cory Appleglise.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 22, at Berth & Rosenthal Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until time of services at 7:15 pm with Sister Helen Plum SSND officiating. Burial will take place at a later date at the Saint Mary Cemetery in Crivitz.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Heartland Hospice, 1145 W. Main Ave., Ste 205, DePere, WI 54115.
