Virgil Anderson was born March 28, 1924 in Lynn, Washington and lived in the Coos Bay area the past 29 yrs. He was a carpenter, a World War II veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard and a member of the Carpenters Union. Surviving are his widow, Flora Ann, son Robert G., and a granddaughter, Patty Ann all of Coos Bay; mother, Mrs. Nina Anderson, sister, Mrs. Thelma Lee, three brothers, Kenneth, Floyd and Gene, all of Washington.
