Lucy Torrano Anderson passed away on January 7, 2015, just a few weeks after her 94th birthday.

Lucy was born and raised in Oakland, California, the 9th child of Maria Giuseppe Sgamba and Angiol’ Antonio Federico Torrano. She married Lester Anderson on April 4, 1945. They were married for 58 years until his passing in 2003.

Left to mourn are her two loving and adored daughters, Sandra and Karen; her younger sister, Lorraine Mazzi; nieces and nephews Cindy, Don, Ed, Joyce, Lynn, Nicole and Ron; and many other cousins, great nieces and nephews. Her family was very important to her and in her later years she was saddened not to be able to host big family gatherings. Her greatest loves were her husband and daughters. She will be missed more than words can ever say.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, January 13th, at St. John’s Catholic Church, 264 E. Lewelling Blvd., San Lorenzo. Lucy will be laid to rest with her husband at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
