Charles H. "Chuck" Clark, 75, of Chilton, Texas, entered into rest Monday, May 1, 2006. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, May 4, at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Christopher Ferrer and Deacon Julian Tyboroski officiating. Burial will follow at the Hillcrest cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Adams Funeral Home.

Charles was born in Winston Salem, N.C., to the late Charles H. Sr. and Minnie Clark. He attended schools in Walkertown, N.C. In 1951, he joined the United States Air Force and served in Bryan, Texas, Bitburg, Germany, Salina, Kan., Mt. Home, Ind., and VTO-POA, Thailand. He retired after 20 years of service and moved to Chilton, Texas. After military retirement, he was a rural mail carrier in the Chilton area, retiring to pursue other interests including arts and crafts, woodworking, and gardening. He was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing. He loved his family and enjoyed time spent with Anna and Lauren, his granddaughters.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Max Ellis Clark; and sisters, Betty Morgan and Peggy Myers.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Rosemary; daughter, Vicki Basham and husband, Paul, of Waco; granddaughters, Lauren and Anna Basham, of Waco; sisters, Nancy Smith and husband, Harold, of Walnut Cove, N.C., and Lynn Wade and husband, Johnny, of Kernersville, N.C.; brother, Jimmy Clark, of Walkertown, N.C.; brothers-in-law, Travis Myers, of Rural Hall, N.C., Edward Morgan, of Walkertown, N.C., Julian Tyboroski and wife, Rosalis, of Marlin, Texas, John Tyboroski and wife, Delores, of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters-in-law, Barbara Clark, of Pilot Mountain, N.C., and Frances Radle, of Marlin, Texas; along with many nieces and nephews.
